Thao & Mirah recorded their debut album (out April 26 on Kill Rock Stars) in about two weeks with tUnE-YaRdS mastermind Merrill Garbus co-producing, guesting and writing one song. Working together for the first time, Thao & Mirah each created songs that were differently vibrant, yet sewn together on the self titled album by the innovation each created track possesses. With this creative freedom came Thao & Mirah picking up many different instruments, including some knee-cap slapping for good measure.
