Don’t you hate that hazy state you are in when you wake up? There is about that one minute interval when you aren’t even quite sure you are awake yet. That you still might be having that dream that you aren’t entirely sure is a dream. Has that state ever been captured in musical form? Probably not until “Go Ahead” by Banjo or Freakout. The London based solo work of Alessio Natalizia seems to be in a perpetual state of “not quite” awake with a sprinkle of Animal Collective progressiveness. Which makes sense, since Animal Collective producer Nicolas Vernhes helped with the self titled album.
