New Music From Bosco Delrey

Nowadays getting the nod from Diplo is like getting an electric touch from the DJ gods.  Bosco Delrey, the lo-fi hi-buzz electronic artist, got just that when Diplo signed him to his label Mad Decent.  Diplo’s description of Bosco’s music is the best out there:  “[Bosco is] a sort of garbage can Elvis from New Jersey… teaspoon craziness, a pinch of rockabilly, and full cup of soul dressed in a leather jacket. He can’t be topped as far as song writing… he’s doin’ the music I wish I could if I had bought a guitar.”

Bosco Delrey recently finished recording his debut on Mad Decent called Everybody Wah and embodies that raucous electro-wreck Diplo described above.  Working with Doug, Easley Bosco combined his love for old school country with a dancehall beat and somehow through black magic made it all sound fresh.  It’s a product of living and working in Memphis while carrying a torch for the psychedelic and fuzzed-out.  His strange sound in studio also nabbed the attention of the Beastie Boys’ Mike D and Ad Rock, who have vowed to offer fans remixes in 2011.

Everybody Wah is due out on Mad Decent/Downtown Music in early 2011.  Bosco Delrey is closing up his stint with Magic Kids this week.  Catch him before he blows up.  Take a listen to his single “My My Racecar” below and download it for free via RCRD LBL.
