Beirut offers stream of new album on NPR

Beirut may have just finished up an awesome weekend at Lollapalooza, but that doesn’t mean the band is done wowing their fans. Zach Condon and his band released a stream of their new album The Rip Tide on NPR to hold fans over until it’s official release at the end of the month. Just from the first few tracks listeners can tell that Beirut is a band that’s concerned with constant growth. The songs are bigger, louder, and more mature than on previous albums and Condon’s abilities as a songwriter have only gotten better.

The band also has extended their US tour all the way through November, so those of you who missed them this past weekend can catch them again. The Rip Tide comes out August 30 on Condon’s own Pompeii Records.
