The 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival will take place on Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17! The three-day music festival returns to Chicago’s Union Park to celebrate cutting-edge music from around the world on three stages, giving festival-goers one of the most inviting, reasonably priced, and unexpected weekends of music under the sun.

The Pitchfork Music Festival has brought the likes of Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Animal Collective, Girl Talk, Sleigh Bells, Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors, Beach House, Dan Deacon, Deerhunter, St. Vincent, Best Coast, Titus Andronicus, and more, just as those bands were beginning to tickle the consciousness of the nation. The mix of many of these flourishing performers with internationally renowned and beloved acts such as Pavement, The Flaming Lips, Public Enemy, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, LCD Soundsystem, The Jesus Lizard, Yoko Ono, Os Mutantes, and Built To Spill,just to name a few, make the Pitchfork Music Festival one of the most well-curated and focused festivals in the country.
